Obituary of Biggar, John "Jackie" Douglas
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. Thursday, May 10th, 2018 of John Douglas "Jackie" Biggar of Miscouche, P.E.I., aged 63 years. Jackie was born in Tyne Valley, P.E.I. to the late Johnny and Ruby (Murphy) Biggar.
Beloved soulmate of Carol Gallant. Jackie leaves to mourn his boys Jason (Robyn), Wayne (Renie), Terry (Sandra), Ryan (Lindsay) and their sister Sandra. Also lovingly remembered by his 6 special grandchildren Dalton, Reece, Arika, Emmett, Benson and Lexi.
Survived by his brothers and sister Billy, Emmett (Deletra), Bruce (Jeff), Sherry (Bruce) Bujold, brother-in-law Edgar Williams and aunt Elga Ramsay.
Besides his parents, Jackie was predeceased by his sisters Kay (Jim) Morrison, Anita Hanley, Joyce Williams and Judy Biggar (in infancy).
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Wednesday, May 16th, 2018 where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment to take place in the Presbyterian Cemetery, Tyne Valley at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jackie's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 4 - 7 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
