Obituary of Arsenault, Leroy Francis
The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 of Leroy Francis Arsenault of Summerside and formerly of Tignish, P.E.I., in his 86th year. Leroy was born in Alberton to the late Joseph and Nettie Arsenault.
Beloved husband of Milda (Perry), loving father of Ronnie (Beth) Hackett, NFLD, Debbie (Bruce) Adams, Cascumpec and Vickie (Junior) Gallant, Piusville, also lovingly remembered by grandchildren Kelly, Shannon, Terri Lynn, Karlee and Carson and great-grandchildren, Cade, Kayslee, Aiden, Ben and Abbi.
Survived by brother Steward (Thelma) Arsenault, ON, sister-in-law Vinnie Arsenault of Tignish and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Leroy was predeceased by daughter Cathy Richard, sister Jean Gautier, brothers Cyril and Reg.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Saturday, June 2nd, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment to take place in the St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery, Tignish at a later date. Memorial donations in Leroy's memory to Parkinson Canada would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
