Obituary of Walker, Rodger Hamish
Rodger Hamish Walker - Born May 10th, 1942 to James & Ann (Barr)Walker in Toronto, Ont. Passed peacefully at Wedgewood Manor, Summerside.
Survived by his wife of 50 years, Gail (Faulknor) Walker. Loving father to Rev. Gordon (Sheila) Walker, O'Leary, PEI; Teresa (Blair) Holland, Bloomimg Point, PEI; Ada Marie (Steve) Moore, Alberta; Kevin Walker, Toronto, ON. and Kim (David) Green, Central Bedeque, PEI. Loving Opa to 9 grandchildren & 14 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents.
A lifelong member of the Canadian Golf Professional Assoc., Rodger was a golf professional in Ontario, N.B., Alberta, PEI, & Germany. He was passionate about many sports especially hockey, football and curling.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, Summerside, until Saturday, June 9th, then to the Summerside Presbyterian Church for a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation, Wedgewood Manor Equipment Fund or Errol Nicholson Junior Golf Fund. By personal request, there will be no visiting hours held.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
