Obituary of Mellish, Helen Mae
The death occurred peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, N.S. on Thursday, August 16th, 2018 of Helen Mae Mellish (nee Grant) of Summerside, P.E.I. aged 78 years.
Beloved wife of Haddon Mellish and loving mother of Lori Stiller, John (Ursula) and Shane (Linda). Loving grandmother to Matthew (Bethany) Stiller, Cassandra (Scott) Mellish and Jacob Mellish.
Survived by her sister Phyllis (Brad) MacInnis and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Mae was predeceased by her adopted mother Helen Brown and brother Arthur Milligan.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday, August 21st, 2018 where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 p.m. Interment to take place in Union Road Cemetery, Montague at a later date. Memorial donations in Mae's memory to the Union Road Cemetery would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday from 6 - 8 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
