Obituary of Stright, James Leslie
The death occurred peacefully with family by his side at Summerset Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Monday, September 17th, 2018 of James "Jim" Leslie Stright of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 70 years. Jim was born in Pictou, N.S. to the late Herbert and Olga (MacNevin) Stright.
Loving father of Chay, Channon (James), Joel, Dustin, Quinn (Kevin) and also remembered by the children's mother, Cheryl Lumgair. Also lovingly remembered by his 10 grandchildren Jesse, Morgan, Tanner, Taylor, Bailey, Zoe, Luke, Ellie, Gavin and Katelyn. Survived by his brothers Kenn (Jeanne), Bob, Kent (Kim) and his sister Kim (Phillip) Reck.
Jim was passionate about music and playing his guitar, his love for both will be remembered by all for many years to come.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday, September 20th, where a Celebration of Life will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Jim's memory to the Alzheimer's Society would be greatly appreciated. By personal request, there will be no visiting hours held.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
