Obituary of Murray, Elsie Mary
Peacefully, with her family by her side, (Mary) Elsie Murray née Gallant aged 81, passed away on October 1, 2018, at the Prince County Hospital. Born in Mont Carmel, Prince Edward Island.
She will be dearly missed by her partner and best friend Lawrence Arsenault.
She was the loving mother of Cathy (Scott) Suter; Bernie Murray, Glen (Melinda) Murray; Maureen Murray (Trevor Dempster); Lisa Murray (James Wilchynski); Adrian Murray (Tracey Wedge); beloved grandmother of Steven Murray (Lydell De Castro), Katie Murray, Ian Murray (Ellen Waddell), Jenna Wedge, and Kylee Murray. She was predeceased by her parents, Avis and Agatha (Thompson) Gallant, and brothers Clifford and Ralph Gallant.
Survived by her brother Clarence (Eunice) Gallant and sisters-in-law Theresa Gallant and Shirley Gallant and Lawrence's daughter Laurie (Kenny) Jamer.
Dearly missed by special friends Judy Kelly, Bertha Tuplin, Iva Schurman and her coffee buddies and friends at the Canadian Legion Kitchen Party.
A special thanks to Dr. Kutcher, Leif Christensen (nurse practitioner), nurses on the Palliative Care Unit and staff of the Prince County Hospital.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Friday, October 5th, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in Notre Dame du Mont-Carmel Cemetery, Mont-Carmel. Memorial donations in Elsie's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Thursday evening from 5 - 8 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
