Obituary of Legere, Georgena Louise
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Sunday, October 28th, 2018 of Georgena Louise (nee MacPhee) Legere of Summerside and formerly of Amherst, N.S., aged 59 years. Georgena was born in Springhill N.S. to her mother Noreen (nee DeMont) of Springhill and her late father Edwin MacPhee.
Beloved wife of Larry Legere and loving mother of James (Denise) of Peakes and Larry Jr. (Lindsey) of Charlottetown. Lovingly remembered by her 9 grandchildren Dakota, Denver, Keagan, Aidan, Carlee, Wyatt, Madyson, Mackenzie and Lincoln and also many nieces and nephews.
Survived by her brothers and sisters Edwin (Andrea) MacPhee, Noreen Laurette, Mildred MacPhee and Kent Kidd.
Besides her father, Georgena was predeceased by her brother Steven Kidd.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. By personal request, there will be no funeral service held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Georgena's memory to the PEI Humane Society or Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Thursday, November 1st from 5 - 8 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
