Obituary of Arsenault, Donat Augustin
The death occurred peacefully with family by his side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Monday, October 29th, 2018 of Donat Augustin Arsenault of Le Chez Nous and formerly of Summerside, aged 91 years. Donat was born in Cape - Egmont, P.E.I. to the late Andrew and Mary Anne (Gallant) Arsenault.
Beloved husband of Rose Marie (Richard) Arsenault and loving father of Paul (Pam), Diane (Mac), Janet (Bob), Alan, Lisa (Dale) and Laura (Mike). Also lovingly remembered by his 6 grandchildren Taralee (Davey), Hailey (Seb), Troy, Emily, Danielle and Lauren.
Survived by many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.
Predeceased by his brothers and sister Adrien (Therese), Hazel (Freddie) and John Peter (Freda).
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday, November 2nd, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in Notre Dame de Mont Carmel Cemetery, Mont Carmel. Memorial donations in Donat's memory to Le Chez Nous or P.E.I. Lung Association would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Thursday from 6 - 8 p.m.
Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 5, Summerside will hold a Legion Service on Thursday evening at 5:30 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
