Obituary of Hashie, Henry Joseph
The death occurred at Toronto, Ontario of Henry J. Hashie of Toronto and formerly of Richmond, P.E.I., aged 64 years. Henry was born on November 29, 1943 in Richmond, P.E.I. to his parents, Brigette ( nee Gallant ) and also the late Clarence Hashie.
Beloved husband of Marlene Hashie of Toronto, Ontario and loving father of Verna, Kim, Cindy & Brian all of Ontario. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Stephanie, Niki, Shania, Seanna, Summer & Kira. Survived by his brothers & sisters Albert ( Zelma ), Edward ( Norma ), Adeline ( David )Gallant, Simon ( Nancy ), Alma ( Keith ) Sigsworth, Linda ( Don )Gallant, Melina & Maynard ( Vicky ) all of P.E.I..
Besides his father Clarence, Henry was predeceased by his brothers David & Douglas and by his niece Jocelyne Gallant.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday, July 31st then to Immaculate Conception Church, Richmond for funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. No visiting hours by family request. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Henry's memory to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
