Obituary of Blanchard, Viola

The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Tuesday, January 15th, 2019 of Viola Blanchard (nee Cannon) of Summerside, P.E.I, aged 97 years. Viola was born in Elmsdale, P.E.I. to her late parents James and Mary (nee Dunn) Cannon. Beloved wife of the late Leo Blanchard and also her first husband, the late Jimmy Murray. Loving mother of Milo (Dawn) Murray of Saint John, N.B., George Murray of Saint John, N.B., Helen (John) Zandbergen of Ottawa, ON., and Sherry (David) Kennedy of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by her brother Elmer Cannon of Kensington. Besides her parents and husbands, Viola was predeceased by her son Ivan, her children Marilyn and Fulton in infancy, by 14 brothers and sisters and daughters-in-law Kathy and Mary Murray. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday, January 19th, 2019 then to Summerside Baptist Church, Summerside for a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place in Woodlawn Cemetery, Alberton at a later date. Memorial donations in Viola's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
