Obituary of Arsenault, Edward Joseph
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday, April 18th, 2019 of Edward "EJ" Joseph Arsenault of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 67 years. EJ was born in St. Gilbert, P.E.I. to his father the late Cyrus and his mother Evelyn Arsenault.
Beloved husband of Linda Begg. Survived by his brothers and sisters Eldon, Alphonse (Joanne), John (Pam), Roy (Patsy), Zita, Stephen (Louise), David (Kristy), Nancy (Kent) Corney and Margaret, brother and sisters-in-law Debbie (Greg) Lawrence, Cindy (Steve) Keates, Johnny "Junior" (Dana) Begg and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brother Paul, mother-in-law and father-in-law Johnny and Kathleen Begg.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday, April 22nd, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 4:00 p.m. Interment to take place in St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church Cemetery, Egmont-Bay at a later date. Memorial donations in EJ's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or I.W.K. Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday from 1:00 - 3:45 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
