Obituary of Arsenault, Joseph "Ivan"
The death occurred suddenly at his late residence on Tuesday, April 30th, 2019 of Joseph "Ivan" Arsenault of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 65 years. Ivan was born in Maximville, P.E.I. to the late Frederick and Marie (Gallant) Arsenault.
Beloved husband of Shirley Paugh. Survived by his brothers and sisters Aline Murray, Corinne Stewart, Arthur Arsenault, Roger (Rita) Arsenault, Cecile Gallant, Della (Roger) Arsenault, sister-in-law Rose Eva Arsenault, many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers Ernest, Junior, Ronald, brothers-in-law Leon Stewart and Nazaire Gallant.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday, May 4th, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 P.M. Interment to take place in the Bideford United Cemetery. Memorial donations in Ivan's memory to Funeral Expense Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday from 6 - 8 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
