Obituary of McLure, Chester David
The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Saturday, May 18th, 2019 of Chester David McLure of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 80 years. Chester was born in North Rustico, P.E.I. to the late Ernest and Sadie (nee Johnston) McLure.
Beloved husband of the late Maureen (nee Binns) McLure and loving father of Steve (Marianne), Kingston, ON., Zane (Louise Gallant), Moncton, NB. and Lynda (James) Cameron, Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by his dear friend Marilyn Murnaghan and his grandchildren Janice, Stefan, Mariah and Kyle McLure, Hunter and Fiona Cameron.
Survived by his brother John (Frances) MacLure and sister Mae MacDonald (John deceased) and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and his wife, Chester was predeceased by his son Rick.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday May 23rd, 2019 where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:30 p.m. Interment to take place in the Cavendish United Cemetery, Cavendish. Memorial donations in Chester's memory to Cavendish United Cemetery would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours Thursday from 1:00 - 2:15 p.m.
Dad had a good life with a loving family. He spent most of his time gardening and playing cards with his friends.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
