Obituary of Lockhart, Frances Emrose
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Monday, June 17th, 2019 of Frances Emrose Lockhart (nee Oliver) of Summerside, aged 87 years. Frances was born in West Devon, P.E.I. to the late Frank and Margaret Oliver (nee Graham).
Beloved wife of Jim Lockhart and loving mother of Linda Brazil (Wayne Dunsford), Dwight (Wendy), Wade (Lou) and Wendy Lockhart (John Walker). Also lovingly remembered by her 8 grandchildren Greg Allen, Patrick Brazil, Robert Brazil, Jillian (Eddie) Bridges, James Lockhart, Jimmy and Elizabeth Lockhart, Olivia Corrigan and several nieces and nephews.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday, June 20th, then to Trinity United Church, Summerside for a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Frances's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visitation hours on Wednesday from 5 - 8 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
