Obituary of Gallant, Frederick Alan
The death occurred at Medicine Hat, Alberta, on Tuesday, June 25th, 2019 of Frederick Alan Gallant of Alberta and formerly of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 51 years. Alan was born in Summerside, P.E.I. to Fannie (nee Brander) of Summerside and his late father Frederick Irving Gallant.
Beloved father of Dylan Compton of N.S. and Tyler Compton of Montague, P.E.I. Also lovingly remembered by his only granddaughter Raelee Compton. Survived by his brothers and sister, Clarence (Bonnie) Gallant of Summerside, Karen (William) Skerry of Summerside and James Gallant of Chelton. Predeceased by his grandparents Della and James Brander Sr.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. By family request there will be a private visitation and funeral service to be held at a later date. Memorial donations in Alan's memory to the PEI Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
