Obituary of Arsenault, Eleanor Irene
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday, June 27th, 2019 of Eleanor Irene Arsenault of Summerside and formerly of Grand River, P.E.I., aged 75 years. Eleanor was born in Summerside to the late John and Ethel (Baglole) Chappell.
Beloved wife of Charles Arsenault and loving Mother of Jackie (Kris) Mayne and Jamie (Margaret) Arsenault. Also lovingly remembered by her 4 grandchildren Barry (Jen) Hippenstall, Lacey Mayne, Olivia Arsenault and Zachary Arsenault and her 4 great grandchildren Brannson, Cameron, Wesdon and Ellyannah and her sister-in-law, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister's and brother-in-law Ella (Joseph) Praught and Eileen Hussey.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday June 29th, then to the Funeral Home Chapel for a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Interment to take place in St. Partrick's Cemetery, Grand River. Memorial donations in Eleanor's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Saturday from 1:00 - 2:45 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
