Obituary of Gillis, Marie
The death occurred peacefully at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Wednesday, August 28th, 2019 of Marie Gillis (nee Richard) of Summerside, aged 93 years. Marie was born in Grand Entrée, Magdalen Islands, Quebec to the late Edward and Elizabeth (nee Derasp) Richard.
Beloved wife of the late John Mann and loving mother of Debbie (Greg) MacKinnon, Judy Gillis (David Boyce), Wayne Gillis (Dorothy Gamble), Marie (Lorne) Doyle and Sheila McKenna (special friend Sonny MacInnis). Also lovingly remembered by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survived by her sisters Mary Jane, Alice and Yvonne, brother Frankie and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by 2 children Joyce and Bernie, her brothers Willie, Eli and Elmer and sisters Della and Millie.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. By personal request, there will be no visiting hours. Family and Friends are invited to attend a graveside service at People's Cemetery, Summerside on Saturday, August 31st, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Anyone that would like to attend are very welcome to do so. Memorial donations in Marie's memory to the Summerset Manor would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
