Obituary
Obituary of Briand, George Alexander
It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved father, grandfather,
great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and friend George, who passed away peacefully,
surrounded by his family on Thursday, October 17th, 2019 at the age of 99. Born in Rockdale, Cape
Breton he was a son of the late James and Marie (Rancon) Briand.
He was loved by all and will be greatly missed by Irene, Gerald (Rosalyn), Sandra (Pat), Douglas
(Robert), Patrick (Brenda), and many grandchildren and loved ones.
George was a fun-loving, kind, and generous man. He loved old movies, country music, and visits
with his family and friends. We are heartbroken that he is no longer with us, and he will be greatly
missed by all who knew him. He is in our hearts and prayers, and we find solace knowing that he
has passed on to a restful place.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, October 24 at 10:30 am in St Paul's Church, 289 Winter St, Summerside. By personal request, there will be no visiting hours held. Memorial donations in George's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
