Obituary of McKinnon, Roger Anthony
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday, October 24th, 2019 of Roger Anthony McKinnon of Summerside, aged 76 years. Roger was born in Alberton, P.E.I. to the late Fred and Irene (nee O'Brien) McKinnon.
Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Raymond (Sheila) of Charlottetown, Reggie (Beryl) of Penn., U.S.A., Carrol Ann Elhadi of Fredericton, N.B., Wilbert (Stef) of Wasaga Beach, ON., Howard (Maggie) of Truro, N.S., Mary (Harry) Hutchinson, Lorraine (Wilf) Smith and Geraldine McKinnon (Ivan) all of Summerside.
Also lovingly remembered by his special friend Erma MacDougall and his extended family, members of the Summerside Fire Department.
Predeceased by his brother Justin McKinnon and brother-in-law Nabil Elhadi.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, October 25th at 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations in Roger's memory to the Summerset Manor or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
