Obituary of Landry, Tanton Edward
The death occurred peacefully at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, P.E.I., on Saturday, May 16th, 2020 of Tanton Edward Landry of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 90 years. Tanton was born in Summerside to the late Joseph and Matilda (Wedge) Landry.
Beloved husband of Hilda (Gaudet) Landry and loving step father to Aubrey (Auldine) Arsenault, Dennis (Jeannette) Arsenault, Blair Arsenault, Anne (Jim) Sullivan, Kevin (Heather) Arsenault and step son-in-law Robert Poirier. Also lovingly remembered by many step grandchildren.
Survived by his sisters Blanche Bennett Elma Sonier and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his step daughter Doreen Poirier, brothers Albin (Mary), Clarence (Edna), Hank (Melina), sister Stella (Ivan), brothers in-law Murry Bennett and Donald Sonier.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. Completed funeral arrangement to be announced at a later date. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Tanton's memory to Parkinson's or Le Chez Nous would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
