Obituary of Arsenault, Roy Hillard
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I., on Thursday, May 28th, 2020 of âRoy' Hillard Arsenault of Summerside, P.E.I., in his 95th year. Roy was born in Summerside to the late Harry and Sylvina Arsenault.
Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Gallant) and loving father to Rose Ann Hicken (Darren Gaudet) Kensington, Merna (Ray) Rushton, Summerside, Danny (Karen), Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Mitchell, Kayla and John, great-grandchildren Serenity, Kacey, Julian, Jemma and Tessa, brother Ernie (Claudette), numerous nieces and nephews, extended family Anne Marie, Josh, Brittany, Brady, Robin, Chris, Kylee, Aleah and son-in-law Roy Arsenault.
Roy was predeceased by his remaining brothers and sisters.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. No visiting hours due to Covid-19. Interment to take place in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Miscouche at a later date. Memorial donations in Roy's memory to The Wedgewood Manor Equipment Fund or The Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
