Obituary of Arsenault, Bev
Beverly âBev' Anne (nee Clow) Arsenault died peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, on Monday, July 13th, 2020, aged 73 years. Bev was born in Summerside, PEI to the late Frank & Florence (nee Savidant) Clow. Beloved wife of Bennett âBenny' Arsenault and loving mother of Cathy (Vance) Bridges. Lovingly remembered by her grandsons Edward (Jill) and Jeffery; brothers and sisters Shirley Doucette, Floyd (Marion), Danny (Marlene), Wade (Tracey), Nancy Strongman and Sheila Clow and sister-in-law Charlene Clow. Predeceased by her son Benny Jr.; brothers Hal and Glenn in infancy and Chuckie and brothers-in-law Vince Strongman and Emile Doucette. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside where a Private Service will take place with interment to follow at St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial Donations to Funeral Expense Fund would be appreciated.
FUNERAL WRITE-UP
The funeral service for Beverly âBev' Anne (nee Clow) Arsenault of Kensington, formerly of Summerside, P.E.I., beloved wife of Bennett âBenny' Joseph Arsenault was held on Friday, July 17, 2020 from East Prince Funeral Home Chapel, Summerside by Father Benedict Paulraj. The Readings were read by Father Benedict. The Gospel was proclaimed, the Homily was delivered and the Prayers of the Faithful were led by Father Benedict. The musical selections Strawberry Wine by Deanna Carter and Amazing Grace by Alan Jackson were played. The pall bearers were Jeffery Bridges, Edward Bridges, Evan Bernard, Michael Decoste, Evan Clow and Danny Clow jr. The flower bearers were Jill Bridges, Vanessa Stewart, Amber Decoste, Jodi Clow and Jolene White. Arrangements were entrusted to the East Prince Funeral Home, Summerside.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
