Obituary of Gaudet, Bernadette 'Bernie'
Rose Marie Bernadette âBernie' Gaudet, of Miscouche, died peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, on Sunday, July 19th, 2020, aged 81 years. Bernadette was born in Abram's Village, PEI to the late Sylvere and Therese (nee Gallant) Gaudet. Lovingly remembered by her brother Armand (Gladys), sister Sr Marie Gaudet (CND), sisters-in-law Millie Gaudet, and Liliane Gaudet, nephew Stephen (Carolyn) Hood, her remaining nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, who all held a special place in her heart. Predeceased by her brother Julian, sisters Sr Sylvina Gaudet (CND) and Bella (Harvey) Hood and nephew David Hood. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche, where a Private Funeral Mass will take place with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
FUNERAL WRITE-UP
The funeral mass for Rose Marie Bernadette âBernie' Gaudet of Miscouche, P.E.I., was held on Thursday, July 23rd, 2020 from the East Prince Funeral Home, Summerside to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche by Father Greg Conway. The Readings were read by Pat Downey. The Gospel was proclaimed and the Homily was delivered by Father Conway. Prayers of the Faithful were led by Pat Downey. Hymns led by organist Debbie Montgomery. The hymns "All People That On Earth Do Dwell", "Psalm 25", "The Lord Is My Shepard", " Like A Shepard", "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman", "How Great Though Art" were played. The usher was Hal Blacquiere.
Pallbearers were Timmy Hood, Allan Hood, Roger Gaudet, James Gaudet, Matthew
Gaudet and Paul Gaudet. Interment took place in the church cemetery with Father Conway officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to the East Prince Funeral Home, Summerside.
ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
