Obituary of Wedge, Gerald Mack
The death occurred at Summerset Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Monday, September 21st, 2020 of Gerald Mack Wedge of Summerside, aged 93 years. Gerald was born in St. Philippe, P.E.I. to the late Joseph & Mary Ann Wedge.
Beloved husband of the Late Doris (nee Arsenault) Wedge and loving father of Marcia (Les) Matheson, Simone (Robert) Poirier, Michael Wedge, Carol (Peter) Stavert, Noella (Dale) Nicholson and John (Shauna) Wedge. Also lovingly remembered by his 5 grandchildren, Jeff Matheson, Krista Ward, Nathan & Isaac Stavert & Lily Nicholson and 2 great grandchildren, Hayden Ward & Vaeda Matheson and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers and sisters and grandson Shaun Matheson. Gerald was the last surviving member of the Wedge/Casey family.
Gerald's family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Summerset Manor who treated him like family with their funny jokes, little visits and card games. Special thanks to his coffee buddies, he always looked forward to his daily visits for coffee, stories and (lies).
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. There will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside, where a private graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in Gerald's memory to the Summerset Manor or the PCH Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
