Obituary of Roberta Drew Pauptit
Unexpectedly and peacefully, with her parents by her side, Roberta Drew passed away at home on Sunday morning January 12th 2025. Her sudden passing was unrelated to her ongoing health issues.
Drew was born in Charlottetown in the early morning hours of January 14th 1998 to her young parents Kris & Jaime (nee Arsenault) Pauptit.
For the first fifteen years of her life, Drew had the privilege of being her parents only child. Life centered around her so when her sister Frannie was born, there was much apprehension of how Drew would adapt to having to share her parents' time and attention with someone other than herself. Those worries and concerns were needless and completely unwarranted.
Drew's deep love and gentle care for Frannie was an incredible sight for her parents to witness. Drew grew and matured in ways that only being a big sister could reveal.
These qualities only deepened when Drew became a big sister again to her brother Xavier.
Having a boy as a sibling was fascinating to Drew. His high energy and lively spirit provided her with much entertainment while helping her develop her own personal boundaries.
Drew lived with her family in Summerside her entire life, having attended Greenfield Elementary, Summerside Intermediate and Three Oaks Senior high before moving on to her beloved day program at Community Connections.
She made many friends during her journey through life and had an impact on everyone she met.
Drew has now moved on to join her beloved Pops (Errol Pauptit), her grandmother and name-sake, Roberta Pauptit and her special uncle Nonny (John Arsenault). Drew was predeceased by many cherished extended family members whom will be greeting her with open arms.
Left behind to mourn her tremendous loss are her parents Kris and Jaime, her sister Frannie and brother Xavier, her Grammy-Mom Jeanne Arsenault, as well as numerous treasured aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral will be held at 2pm, Friday January 17th at St. Malachy's Roman Catholic Church, Kinkora.
Reception to follow at Kinkora Place Fire Hall.
In honor of Drew, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
