Obituary of Lillian Pearl Lilly
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PEI on Saturday November 23rd, 2024 of Lillian Pearl Lilly (Walsh) of Summerside, aged 89 years. Lillian was born in Montreal, Quebec to the late Jack and Pearl Walsh.
Beloved wife of Wayne Lilly and loving mother of Dean (Pascale) Murray, Glenn (Janet) Murray and Forrest Lilly (Eva Strongman). Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Kevin (Leah), Laura (Ian), Emilie (Carsen) Campbell, Sandrine and Jérémie.
Survived by her sister Doreen Wilson and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brothers Doug Stephenson, Laurence Walsh, Leslie Walsh and brother in-law Percy Wilson.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral 245 Pope Rd. Summerside, PEI . Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday December 10th, 2024 from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Visiting hours and funeral service will be held at the Central Street Christian Church 83 Central St., Summerside. Interment to take place in People's cemetery, Summerside following the funeral service. Memorial donations in Lillian's memory can be made directly to the Prince County Hospital Foundation.
ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
