Marie was one of my beta readers for my novels. Her name shows up into of my books. I truly appreciated her efforts. We enjoyed emails and Facebook and discussing writing and art. When my husband passed away, she was so helpful to me in her counsel. I will miss her. My heart goes out to her wonderful family. Love Lyn Ayre

I am so very sorry to hear Marie has passed away. She was always an interesting and kind person to have a chat with. I have a couple of Marie's small paintings on my fridge (cats of course) ... My condolences to all the family but especially to Tesa, who I also got to know a bit over the years. Thoughts, Prayers and hugs to all!

Tesa, Kim and Noel … Marie was my mentor! She introduced me to art as I had never known it before.
Plus… there were all those coffee shop cartoon sessions we had. We three were like a secret club( in my mind anyway) .What never ending fun it was.
But Marie was much more than an artist. Marie had a sense of humour like no one else and her lively spirit was truly contagious.
I could go on and on… and on.
I know she is smiling.

Marie was a beautiful soul and a wonderful friend. After 20 years of not having time to make art, I met Maire and she encouraged me to start up again. I will be forever grateful for that.

Lyon family, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. What a loss it is. I first met Marie when I was a summer student at the Eptek Centre. She would come in for demonstration days and tell the students about her life, I distinctly remember her tales about living in Montreal. She had the most beautiful art, and to this day whenever I see a teabag I think of her (her beautiful teabags art) May the memories of your Matriarch fill you with love.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
