Obituary of Deanie Swim
It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donalddean “Deanie” Johanne Violet Jean Dora Swim (Bramley) on Saturday, October 26th, 2024 of Summerside, aged 89 years. Deanie was born in Centreville, NB to the late Walter and Annie Bramley (MacKintosh).
Beloved wife of Ernest Swim and loving mother of Lori Swim (Joe Doucette) and Todd (Donna) Swim. Also, lovingly remembered by her grandchild Vincent Vess Slaunwhite (Mike Larter). She is survived by her brother George Bramley, sister in-law Lois Bramley and many nieces and nephews.
She’s predeceased by her brothers and sisters Mae Wells, Ken (Jean) Bramley, Frank (Helen) Bramley, Annabelle Rollins, Catherine (Walter) Fisher, Ralph (Helen) Bramley, Jessie (Claude) McBrine, Murdie Bramley, Rex Bramley and sister in-law Charlene Bramley.
Deanie is resting at the East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Rd. Summerside, until Thursday, October 31st, 2024 with visiting hours from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Then we will proceed to St. John’s Anglican Church for a funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
