Obituary of Corinna Claudette Forster
The death occurred peacefully, embraced by her loved ones, at the O’leary Community Hospital on Monday, September 30th, 2024, of Corinna Claudette Forster of Summerside, aged 55 years. Corinna was born in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador, to Cynthia Cooke and the late Ron Blake. She was a proud veteran who served a full military career and was decorated for serving in Syria and Afghanistan during the Afghanistan war.
Beloved spouse of Doug Gallant and loving mother of Keon Forster, Grand Prairie, AB, Danielle Gallant and Quinton Gallant, her grandson Ryker James Forster.
Survived by her brother Robert and sister-in-law Keely Coombs, St. John’s, NL Parent’s-in-law Andrew and Henrietta Gallant, Summerside, PE, brother-in-law Andrew and wife Charmaine Gallant, Summerside, PE, and sister-in-law Coralee Gallant, Ottawa, ON as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Predeceased by her father Ron Blake, sister Brenda and brother Keon.
Arrangements entrusted to the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside.
The family will hold a private Celebration of Life for Corinna at a later date.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
