The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital on Friday, September 6, 2024, of Vernon Joseph Gallant, of Albany, aged 70 years. Vernon was born in Summerside to his late parents, Aubin and Nelda (Gaudet) Gallant.

Beloved husband of Cecile (Gaudet) Gallant and loving father of Erika Gallant.

Survived by his siblings Lorne (Claudette), Leonard, Alfred (Diane), Donald, Sylvia, Roger, Diane, Celeste, and Janice (John), and numerous brothers and sisters in-law, nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his infant son Vernon, siblings Erma and Dionel, and sisters-in-law Lorrena, and Linda.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 11th, 2024 in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment to take place at a later date in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Donations in Vernon’s memory may be made directly to the St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
