To Gladys, Family Members & Friends,
The members of the Canadian Forces Supplementary Radio (SUPRAD) System Oldtimers Association were deeply saddened by the news of Butch's passing. During his 30 years of honourable and distinguished service in the Royal Canadian Air Forece and his 11 years as the cordial Mess Manager of the CFS Leitrim All Ranks Mess (ARM), he made hundreds of friends. When he decided it was time to retire from his Mess Manager job, and return to his beloved Prince Edward Island, there was a huge retirement party at the ARM. He received accolades from far and wide and was presented with several gifts. One of the gifts was an Anne of Green Gables straw hat complete with pig tails, which he bravely wore for several pictures to be taken. Butch loved to joke around with others and he always appreciated a hearty laugh. Because Butch valued his strong bonds of friendship, he became one of our much loved Life Members. At the entranceway of the CFS Leitrim ARM, there is an Oldtimers Association Tree of Life. In memory of Butch, a small bronze cross will now be affixed to the leaf that has his name on it. Also, at our 2025 Annual Reunion Service of Remembrance, Butch's name will be read during the service. Please know that as members of your extended military family, we will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
