So very sorry to learn of Arthur's passing. Over the years, my students and I have sent letters of thanks for Arthur's service. We were planning another visit, when we learned of his passing. During our visit in November, students shared their art, letters of thanks and some little gifts. He was so very happy to meet with each of them. I have a beautiful photo of him with my students and his smile said it all. We visited him at Parkhill and Andrews. I first mailed letters back in the 1990's. Arthur wrote back to us in 2021 and during Covid we were so happy to be able to visit with our masks on.He even sent a thank you card at Christmas this year.. What a dear soul. He was so kind and welcoming. My students and I were so moved to visit with him. Our deepest sympathy to his entire family and we are so thankful for his service. To All of the Hiscock Families:
I was saddened to hear of Uncle Art's passing, being the last of the four senior Hiscock brothers. I had only seen him a few times when he came to Nfld when I was quite young. He was always very soft spoken and kind and I could tell he was a gentle soul. My dad Henry (Art's older brother & identical twin to Oliver) and mom Audrey thought very highly of Art. It was fun when the four brothers got together (Henry, Oliver, Bill & Art) and started telling stories and having a lot of laughs. My parents gave me my middle name of Marie after Aunt Marie.
You were all so fortunate to have had Uncle Art in your lives for 96 years. May the memories from all of those years bring you peace and comfort.
Sincerest condolences,
Carol (Hiscock) Rajewski (daughter of Art's brother Henry)

I am proud to have been the nephew of Arthur Hiscock.
My father, Oliver, always pointed to Art as the one in the family who'd gotten an education and made something of himself.
An example that inspired me.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
