Obituary of ****UPDATED Jim Perry
The death occurred suddenly at his late residence on Thursday, June 13th, 2024 of James "Jim" Perry of Summerside, PEI aged 69 years. Jim was born in Summerside to the late Joseph and Eleanora Perry.
Survived by his brothers and sisters Carol (Brent) Schurman (nee Perry), Susan (Walten) Simmons (nee Perry), Eva Perry, Patricia Perry (Norman Smart), Phillip Perry (April Perry- nee McAusland), and David Perry as well as many nieces and nephews Eva, Lisa, Michael, Jennifer, Patrick, Sarah, Nathan, Jason, Joey, Steven, Ashley and many great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by his brother Michael.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Rd. Summerside, P.E.I. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held on August 17th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the home of Lynn Perry (498 South Drive, Summerside, PE).
ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
