Obituary of Earle William MacKenzie
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Earle William MacKenzie, of Clinton, and formerly of Indian River, at the Clinton View Lodge, on Monday June 17th, 2024.
Earle was born in Baltic, PE to the late Gordon and Cecelia (Millman) MacKenzie. Beloved husband of the late Nancy MacKenzie (Champion) and loving father of Donnie (Janice) and Ronnie (Cindy) MacKenzie. Also be remembered by his grandchildren Jeff (Meagan), Dana (Candice) and Travis (Ashley) and his great-grandchildren Jamie, Toby, Beckett, and Anna Mae. Earle will be missed by his grand fur babies Blue and Leo.
Predeceased by his brothers David (Frances), Harold (June), and George (Sharon), and his sisters Jean (Bo) MacDonald, Mary (Duncan) Picketts, and his infant son Edward MacKenzie.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. There will be no funeral service or visiting hour held by personal request. Private interment to take place in the People’s Cemetery, Malpeque. Donations in Earle’s memory can be made directly to the PEI Humane Society.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
