Obituary of Mary Evelyn Milligan
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital on Thursday May 30th, 2024 of Mary Evelyn Milligan.
Mary was born on August 14th, 1935 in Northam PEI to her late parents Lloyd and Mary (MacDonald) Milligan.
Survived by her special family Kevin Coughlin, Lynn (Brian) Robert Whitlock, Vance (Debbie) Bryan and Brooke Cameron and Brenda (Robert deceased) Morgan MacInnis. Also remembered by her nieces and many cousins.
Predeceased by her brother Edgar, special Aunt Ella Coughlin and her cousin and best friend Isabelle Cameron.
The family would like to thank Dr. Muttart, nurses and staff in the ER and surgical floor along with EMT for the kindness shown to Mary during this difficult time.
Also, thank you to Theresa Cameron for her dedication and kindness shown to Mary’s homecare.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Road Summerside PE, with visiting hours Wednesday June 5th, 2024 from 6 P.M. to 8:00P.M.
Funeral service will be held in the East Prince Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday June 06th, 2024 at 10:30 A.M.
Interment to take place after the service at St. Peters Anglican Church in Foxley River.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
