Obituary of Adeline Mae Ellis

Adeline Mae Ellis (nee MacKinnon) of Summerside, and formerly O’Leary, PEI, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2024 at Age 93 years.

Beloved wife of the late Leith Ellis.  Born in Knutsford, PEI on June 15, 1930, Adeline was the last surviving family member of the late John J. and Edith (Waite) MacKinnon.

Left to cherish her memory are son, Daniel (Jacqueline) Ellis, Medicine Hat, AB and daughter Norah Ellis (Lloyd) of Dartmouth, NS.  Loving Nana to Kimberley (Christopher) Mosher, Dartmouth, NS, Dana (Christa) Guldemond, Dartmouth, NS and Karen Ellis, Medicine Hat, AB.  Great-Grandmother to Bradley, Nolan, Liam, Cameron and Leah.

Brother’s and Sister’s in law George Milne Sr. Valerie Ellis, Elga Brownrigg, Sharron Ellis.  Numerous special nephews,

nieces, cousins and friends across Canada.

Besides her parents and husband, Adeline was predeceased by her sister Annie Laurie (MacKinnon) Milne, brothers Leonard (Ethel) MacKinnon, Raeford (Joyce) MacKinnon, Norman MacKinnon, Pearley MacKinnon, Brother’s in law Donnie Ellis, Blois (Blanche) Ellis and Dennis Brownrigg, and by her very special companion, her dog KeKe.

Visitation to take place at East Prince Funeral Home on Monday, June 3, 6 – 8pm.  Funeral Service will be held at the Church of the Nazarene, Summerside on Tuesday, June 4, 1pm followed by interment at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley.
