Stanley was an active member of the Summerside Legion for 25 years. He was involved with Special Olympics and loved sports. He was a proud bowler and loved playing baseball, floor hockey, basketball and everything and anything else he could try. The only thing that rivaled his love of sports was his love for a good movie and to Stan there was no better movie than Top Gun. Stanley always felt “the need for speed” and loved sharing his passion for all things army and militia. Stanley loved a good joke and enjoyed making the people around him laugh.
