Obituary of Alvina M. Arsenault
The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, PEI on Wednesday April 24, 2024 of Alvina Arsenault of Summerside, aged 89 years. Alvina was born in Summerside to the late Frank and Mary (Gallant) Arsenault.
Survived by her brother and sisters Dorothy Tupper, Helen Sonier, Windsor Arsenault (Astrid Johnson), sister-in-law Jerri Arsenault and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brothers Frank, Ray (Paula), Ernie (Sadie), sister Olga (Claude) Lentz , sisters-in-law Catherine "Babes" Arsenault, brothers-in-law Murray Tupper, Bonnie Bonneau and Norman Sonier.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Saturday April 27th, 2024 where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
