Obituary of Donnie Arsenault
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Saturday, April 13, 2024, of Donald ‘Donnie’ Alfred Arsenault of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 86 years. Donnie was born in Summerside to his late parents Theodore and Bella Arsenault.
Beloved husband of Phyllis (nee Poirier) Arsenault and loving father of Sandra (Mark) Monger of Morinville, AB and Dawn Delahunty of Paris, ON. Cherished grandfather to Caitlyn, Krysten and Alysha. Survived by siblings Theresa Veno, Marie (Elmer) Perry and sister-in-law Connie Arsenault and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Donnie was predeceased by son-in-law Eugene Delahunty and siblings Walter (Margaret) Arsenault, Edna (Charlie) Buhler, Gussie (Bea) Arsenault, Dorothy (Doug) Thompson, Melvin Arsenault, Leonard (Mary) Arsenault, Bertha (Kline) McWatters, George Arsenault, Henry (Janet) Arsenault, and Archie Arsenault in infancy.
Arrangements entrusted to the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside.
Visiting hours, Legion Service and Funeral Service to be held at the East Prince Funeral Home Chapel at a later date, to be announced. Interment to take place in St. Paul’s cemetery, Summerside at a later date.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
