Obituary of Shirley Donna-Lee MacAusland
The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Sunday, April 7th, 2024 of Shirley Donna-Lee MacAusland (Warren) of Summerside, aged 63 years. Shirley was born in Charlottetown, PEI to the late Daniel and Florence Warren (Gallant).
Beloved wife of the late David MacAusland and loving mother of PaulaJo (Frank), Chris (Adriana) and Danielle DesRoche. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Dallas, Bryson, Chasity, Jordan, Anna and Emily, great grandchildren Rylan and Amelia.
Survived by her brothers and sisters Billy Warren, Marilyn Warren, Greg (Carol Ann) Warren, Darlene MacDonald, David Warren, Glen (Patty) Warren, Cathy (Peter) Richard, Monty (Gladys) Warren, sister in-law Cathy Graham and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her first husband Henry DesRoche, granddaughter Rylee Faith DesRoche, brother Danny Warren, sister’s in-law Nora Warren and Janet Warren and her brother in-law Lowell MacDonald.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday, April 11th, 2024, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place in the People’s Cemetery, Summerside at a later date. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Shirley’s memory can be made directly to Camp Gencheff or the Prince County Hospital Foundation.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
