Obituary of Brian Wilfred Keefe

The death of Brian Wilfred Keefe of Summerside, aged 71 years peacefully occurred after a short courageous battle with cancer, and lovingly surrounded by his wife, daughters, brothers, and sisters on Tuesday, December 26th, 2023.

Beloved Husband and best friend of Lou-Anne, and the best Dad to Heather (Aaron Rogers), Amanda(Michael Gaudet), & Kerri-Anne. Loving, doting & proud Boppi to his grandchildren Hannah, Jackson, Addyson, Jude, and Silas.

Brother to Lennie (Jean), the late Colleen (Len) Malone, Marion (Doug) Clorey, Terry (Janice), Ron (Susan), Blair (Kathy), Dr. Janice Keefe (late William Fisher), & Dr. Greg (Debbie). Much loved by his nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pre-deceased by his parents Leonard and Genevieve (Carragher) Keefe, his parents-in-law Hensley and Tisey (Darrach) MacDonald.

Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, with no visitation or funeral by personal request. Internment and celebration of life to take place at a later date. 

Donations in Brian’s memory can be made to the Summerside Salvation Army, St. Malachy’s Church Cemetery, or a charity of your choice.

Brian’s family would like to thank the QEH Cancer Treatment staff, especially the Radiation technicians, Nurses and Doctors for their professional upbeat care. Special thanks to the Island EMT for their support and care through the palliative care program. To Dr. Trina Stewart and Rev. Cory Somers for the compassionate care and support they gave to our family. 

Love and thanks to his many nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters, and in-laws who came to our home Christmas Eve and serenaded Brian with Christmas Carols. He certainly felt the love you showed to him.

Sincere thanks to family, friends, and neighbours who offered help, gave support or sent heartfelt messages, food, and other treats to our family during this journey.
