Obituary of Paul Joseph Hippenstall
The death occurred suddenly at his late residence on Tuesday December 19th, 2023 of Paul “Hippie” Hippenstall of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 60 years. Paul was born in Summerside, P.E.I. to his father the late Anthony Hippenstall and his mother Noreen (White) Hippenstall.
Beloved partner to Annette Hogan and loving father of Barry (Jennifer), Lacey (Philip) Buechler and stepson Josh (Krystal). Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Brannson, Cameron, Wesdon, Ellyannah and Faith.
Survived by his sisters Donna and Marlene and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brother David Hippenstall and brother-in-law Ricky O’Brien.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Friday, December 22nd, 2023 where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 6:00 p.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul’s Church Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Paul’s memory can be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society. Visiting hours on Friday from 4:00pm until time of service.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
