Obituary of Doris Maude Peters

The death occurred at the South Shore Villa, on Saturday, December 9, 2023, with her family and Villa caretakers by her side, of Doris Maude Peters, of Crapaud, aged 98 years. Born in Augustine Cove, she was the daughter of the late Artemas and Mabel (Wadman) Newsome. Survived by her son, Delbert Clark (Helena); stepdaughter Marilyn Earle (Robbie); her grandchildren Shelly (Jay Mackay), Grant (Christine Arsenault), Andrew (Gerri-Lynn White); great grandchildren Nevin & Sarah Clark, Kaleigh & Kelton Mackay, Emma & Dylan Clark; step grandchildren Kyla McCandie Glustien (Nick) and Tanja McCandie (Akihiko Kondo), step great grandchildren Tristan McCandie Glustien, Adria McCandie Glustien, Taiga Kondo. Doris was also loved and will be missed by numerous cousins, nieces & nephews. Predeceased by husband’s Brenton Clark and Amos Peters, her siblings Ellsworth Newsome & Helen Foy.

Doris, lovingly known to her family as Mom, Nannie Doris & Grammy Doris lived her entire life in the Augustine Cove area. She enjoyed a full life of family and friends and loved visits with everyone, which were always a highlight of her days.

During her final year, Doris was a resident at South Shore Villa in Crapaud, where she was cared for with love and respect. The caregivers there treated her as their own family and were a loving support in her final days.

Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, Summerside, where a funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday December 13, 2023, at 1:00 pm. Interment immediately following in Tryon Peoples Cemetery. No visiting hours by family request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
