Obituary of Gallant, Adrien Joseph Gerard

The death occurred peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on May 31, 2022, of Adrien Joseph Gerard Gallant of Summerside, PE and formerly of Wellington, PE aged 80 years. Adrien was born in Urbanville, PE to the late Honoré and Eva (née Caissie) Gallant. Beloved husband of 61 years to JoAnn Gallant (nee Williams) and loving father of Kevin (Kim) Gallant, Shellie (Brad) Martin, Micheline Lapp, Paulette (John Inman) Gallant and Troy (Bonnie) Gallant. Lovingly remembered by his special grandchildren Alicia (Justin) Gallant-Acorn, Eden (Cole) Dearing, Robert (Anysha) Dearing, Alex (Allie) Lapp, Jacob Gallant, JoAnna Howlett, Jordan Gallant, Lexy (Connor) Ollenberger, Mason Howlett, Sam Gallant, Georgia Gallant and Thomas Gallant and many nieces and nephews. Survived by his siblings Melvin (Archange) Gallant, Claire DesRoches, Hermine Gallant and Geralda (Bill) Coughlin, sisters and brothers-in-law Elva Gallant, Isabell Henderson, Allison (Pat) Williams, Alvin (Charlotte) Williams, Ada Williams, Donna Williams. Predeceased by his parents, his in-laws Keith and Loretta Williams, his brother Raymond Gallant, son-in-law Gordon Lapp, brothers-in-law Floyd, Harold, Russell and Roger Williams, Harold Henderson, Jacques Gallant, Tom Ford and Albert DesRoches and sister-in-law Ernestine (Arnold) Rayner. Adrien was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who had the honour of knowing him. He took great pride in his work as an electrician for 60 years and became a real estate agent at 70. Adrien was an avid trout fisherman which was his favourite pastime, he had earned his black belt in Chito Ryu Karate and loved playing cards with his friends. Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside PE, until Saturday June 4th, 2022 then to St. Paul's Catholic Church for a Funeral Mass at 2:00pm. Internment to follow at St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Donations in lieu of flowers in Adrien's memory to Palliative Home Care Program or the PCH Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
