Obituary of Dianne Marie Gallant

The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Friday, November 24th, 2023 of Dianne Marie Gallant of Summerside and formerly of Chelton, P.E.I., aged 71 years. Dianne was born in Summerside to her father the late Alfred Gallant and her mother Louise (Barriault) Gallant.

 

Survived by her sister and brothers Ron (Lynn) Gallant, Mike (Sylvia) Gallant, Marcel (Rosalyn) Gallant, Marcia (Blair) Martin and Donnie (Paulette) Gallant. Also lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews Chris and Kim (Luke) Boyd, Michelle (Rick) Saxon, Sean Gallant ( Jen), Chelsea Almeida, Joseph Gallant (Cassie), Jill (Ryan) Ross, Heidi Martin (Gregor), Brandi Martin (Josh), Jonah (Tamara) Martin, Dylan Gallant and Adam Gallant (Punjan). Predeceased by her infant brother Brian Gallant. 

Dianne dedicated 22 years of her life to serving her country, both in Canada and overseas, as a proud member of the military.

Beyond her military service, Dianne was an extraordinary soul with a heart full of compassion. She was a passionate blood donor, having made an astounding 151 donations, saving countless lives along the way.

She loved animals and was a "wonderful mom" to many cats over the years, providing them with love, care, and a warm home.

 

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday November 27th, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment to take place in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Seven Mile Bay. Memorial donations in Dianne’s memory can be made directly to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or PEI Humane Society. Visiting hours on Monday are from 12:30 p.m. until time of service. Arrangements entrusted to the East Prince Funeral Home, Summerside, P.E.I.
