Obituary of Carla Joanne MacDonald
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carla Joanne MacDonald. Carla was born in Summerside to John J MacDonald (Cynthia) and Gail MacDonald (Nelson).
She will be sadly missed by her loving children Elliot and Oli Jovel-MacDonald, and father of her children, Javier Jovel-Delgado. Siblings Christine (Tim) Day, Cheri MacDonald and Colin MacDonald, step-brothers Howie (Matt) and Dylan (Bethany) Foley. Cherished aunt to Jordyn and Camdyn Day, Devin (Kate) Liam and Turner MacDonald. Sydney, Tegan, Keelee, Sadie and Levi MacDonald and Lainey and Macy Foley. She will be sadly miss by her children paternal grandmother Martha Delgado and all her Jovel Delgado family. Predeceased by her grandparents Fred and Bertha MacDonald and Feodora and Thornton Nelson.
Carla loved growing up on the family farm and taking care of patients as a RCW at the Summerset Manor. She loved her family with all of her being. They were her "everything". She loved the outdoors, beach time, and laughing. She will be missed beyond measure.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. P.E.I. By personal request there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in Carla's memory to her children's trust fund can be made by e-transfer to johnjmacdonald@live.com

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
