Obituary of Karen Eileen Arsenault
The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown PE on Monday, October 2, 2023 of Karen Eileen Arsenault (Murray).of Kensington, P.E.I. aged 66 years. Karen was born in Summerside to the late Stanley and Eva (Robinson) Murray.
Beloved wife of Robert Arsenault and loving mother of Linda and Tanya. Also lovingly remembered by grandchildren Britney, Brandon, Dustin, Tyler, Tyson, Talena, Jackson, Calleb, Jaydon and great grandchild Alexander “A.J”.
Survived by the following brothers and sisters Wayne (Margaret), James (Sheila), Robert (Petya), Sherry (Silbert), Doreen (Ed), Mark (Monica), Nancy (Paul), Donna (Terry), Roy, Janet, Heather (John), Suzanne (Leonce), Beacher (Verginia), sisters-in-law Roma and Louise (Terry), brothers-in-law Paul, Donnie (Julie), Ronnie (Pauline), Frankie, Beverly (George), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her, brother Ervine, sister Grace and stepmother Lea.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside PE. By personal request there will be no funeral service or visiting hours held. Memorial donations in Karen’s memory can be made directly to the funeral expense fund or Canadian Cancer Society.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
