Obituary of Donna Doucette
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside PE, on Thursday September 28th, 2023 of Donna B. Doucette (Livingstone) of Summerside, aged 83 years. Donna was born in West Point, P.E.I. to the late Howard and Gladys Livingstone (Duncan).
Beloved wife of the late Gus Doucette and loving mother of Sharon, Tracy (David), Jackie (Sheldon) and Cindy. Cherished grandmother to Christa, Melissa, Samantha, Aron, Laura, Mitchell and Nicole, great grandmother to Edy, Harrison, Teigan, Macie, Keira, Raymond, Samara, Emilee, Jaxon, Griffin and Dallas, great great grandmother to grandson Jasper.
Survived by her sisters Kay Toth, Roma (Jim) MacDonald, Janet Gloutnez and by her brother Orrin (Marie) Livingstone, sisters-in-law Carol, Donna and Elaine, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brother Orville Livingstone.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Rd. By personal request there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. A gravesite service will be held on Tuesday October 3rd, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at People’s Cemetery, Summerside all is welcome to attend. Memorial donations in Donna’s memory can be made directly to the PCH Foundation or PEI Humane Society.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
