Obituary of Edith Mae Doucette
The death occurred peacefully at Summerset Manor on September 22, 2023 of Edith Mae Doucette of Summerside and formerly of Hamilton PE aged 87 years. Edith was born in Hamiton PE to her late parents James and Louella (Ramsay) Craig. Loving mother of James (Viola) Doucette, Donna (Michael) Arsenault and Clifford (Shelleo) Doucette.
Also lovingly remembered by four grandchildren Rebecca, Joey, Aleah and Kayla, six great-grandchildren Isaac, Aden, Carson, Parker, Teylor and Dallas. as well as several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brothers Clifford and Neil Craig and special friend Nazaire (known as Joe) Arsenault.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 in People's Cemetery, Malpeque P.E.I. at 10:30 am.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
