Obituary of Linda Mary Kerwin
With great sadness the family wish to announce the peaceful passing of "Linda" Mary (Arsenault) Kerwin on September 5, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Emile and Dorothy (Gaudet) Arsenault and widow of William Lewis Kerwin who passed away on October 29, 2016.
Linda resided in Saint John NB for 43 years and along with her husband, was heavily involved in the community by volunteering for different organizations. She is survived by her two children Robert MacIntyre (Stacey Arsenault), Monica O'Brien (Peter) and step-daughter Christie Kerwin (Trevor). Four grand-daughters Kirra Stewart (Carl), Courtney Jo MacIntyre (Logan Richard), Brittany McKibbon (Phillip Doran) and Alyssia McKibbon, and six great-grandchildren, her brother Edward J. (Margaret) Arsenault and special friend Brenda MacGregor.
Arrangements entrusted to East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Rd., Summerside PE. Donations in Linda's memory to the Prince County Hospital Hospice, Summerside, would be greatly appreciated. A private graveside service has been requested by the family with a reception held on Monday September 11, 2023 at 118 Elizabeth St. Summerside at 11:00 am

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
